PROJECT & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
OLYMPIC TERRA originated as a Master's Thesis Project during postgraduate study at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in the field of Narrative Spatial Design. Previous academic and professional experience in architecture had resulted in an interest and intent to design alternative sustainable elements for the built environment. Furthermore, an inspiring internship at Design for London, London Development Agency helped to extend this interest to urban planning and to the imminent London 2012 Olympic Games.
A hybrid project incorporating sustainability and reuse, narrative design, urban planning, with a social and historical focus, was thus developed. The industrial past of the London Olympic site was the trigger for this project, and the Legacy of site and residents steers its aspiration. |
